ARH Long System - NPP Catback?

Just wondering if anyone has info on this or has done it.

My M6 SS has the ARH Long 3" system mated to NPP. Not a fan of the sound or the suitcase. While I have bugged ARH they keep pointing me to their catback with twin tips only. I like the sound change option and so I would buy a very expensive catback and flush the $$ and the flexibility of the NPP option? No thanks.

Which NPP catbacks might bolton to my long system? Has anyone tried this or have an idea? I do not want to cut either the catback or the ARH tubes.

Vendors any ideas? I am not the only one with ARH and this want. I can take measurements if needed.

If you have the AHR Long System, it goes all the way back to the axle. You should be able to bolt-up any 3” axle-back system with the NPP valves and get what you’re looking for! The Flowmaster System comes to mind. Or I think Stainless Works has a nice one too! Borla won’t work because I believe it is 2.75”.

I have ARH long System and Borla S-Type axle back. Had it welded not clamped.

If you get the long system you do not want the catback section. Just the axle back. Look up my handle on youtube. There is some sound clips.

Nice! thanks guys. Slick did you have to do any cutting? Welding is the best way, but I want to be able to take things apart with unmolested parts to sell. I will clamp and seal.

Cool willow video. This was before the H/C. Did you know that guy in the C7? He didn't seem to know the line and would not let you by. Impressive that the NA 1LE can run down a C7 like that. Of course driving matters.

Sounds good! How about the quiet mode, is it still reasonable? Part 140687 I guess, over $2K, holy crap.

I have the ARH long system and the stock NPP, while I want to ditch the suitcase as well (looks and weight) I am not sure I want it much louder than it already it. I mean, I was really surprised at just how loud the ARH catless long system was when mated to the NPP. It borders on insanely loud at certain times.

Agreed. I usually run in full time stealth mode and only let the flaps open at Atco. They love the sound there. My goal is tone. Stock my car sounded better to me. Plus I hate the looks of the suitcase although supposedly it has aerodynamic benefits. There might be a small HP benefit, but weight will be about the same or so I read. And it will be something very easy to sell if I choose to get rid of it.

We have the full ARH 2" Headers to Twin Tip system on our car, granted it dosen't have a "quiet" mode, but it's too loud at light load and easily the best sounding Camaro system I've come across at WOT .

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

Agreed about ARH the company. I have talked directly to ARH about the NPP. They won't admit it's just a $$$ decision and keep pushing the twin tips. We already have that. Would they at least recover the cost of the build? Who knows. I even offered them my car. They are turning down the chance to drive the Batmobile3! Imagine the loss.

Thinking of listing all of the 3" NPP axle-backs to mull it over. I wonder if they all have the same length pipe connection. Looking at these pics I think the axlebacks (Stainless here) Are shorter than the length needed to hook up to the ARH long system. I would need a 3" connector pipe to fit the stainless. It doesn't look like Borla has a 3" Axle-back.

the ARH long system fits the stock NPP so if the SW NPP fits the stock cat back it may work.

The catbacks go up to the cats, so At best I would be cutting the pipes. So I was thinking more of a short 3" connecting pipe if I can find a 3" axleback.

After looking around I see Stainless makes on of the very few 3" axle backs. Around $1K. That is still pricey for two mufflers with $25 valves. But what stuff for us is cheap?
