Got about 20 more HP free

My SS seems to be slamming with another additional 20 HP with out any mods. How you ask? This cold ass 10 deg. weather all up in my intake is making my car scream like Demon.

Cold weather equals dense air and all cars love it as they run better, harder and flat out scream! Racers have been known to use chillers for their intakes to almost refrigerate the air the car is breathing for more ponies. Nothing like a late Fall drive on an early morning or late evening drive and listen to the sound of the car as it takes it all in and responds accordingly!

The exact mod was to dump a load of ice-cubes on top of the WRX intercooler

Extreme cold warning for us here in Southern Ontario. With the windchill it feels like -30 here.. possibly up to -35. AND THAT'S CELSIUS!

It's a trade off. The engine loves the colder air, but the tires don't.

The engine givith, the tires taketh it away.

Yeah you guys out east are getting the shaft right now. For once living in the Pacific NW isn't a bad thing. Going to be sunny and 50 today.

West Lafayette IN this morning out in the middle of the windmill fields in my Malibu. It was -15 in town but once we left the heat island, the bottom fell out. Ridiculous.
