List of Checks from Dealership

It's about time to bring my 2017 ZL1 into the dealership for the 2nd oil change. I've been trying to remember the items listed that need checking on our cars and can remember these:

- Transmission overfill check
- Loose nut/clunk from front end (upper nut needs torqued/replaced)
- 3 transmission and 3 engine software updates (specific to my VIN)

Anyone remember any others? I'm going to be more than surprised if my dealer is willing to seriously look at any of those 3 (unfortunately).

Do you have a clicking noise when turning right around 30mph? Listen with the window down.

I also had terrible rattling in my front door with any slight bass from the speaker. They replaced the door tabs and put some tape in the door to hold the panel on better.

Have you done your rear diff yet?

I was at the Texas Mile and talked with a professional tuner who had access to GM's data base.

My A-10 was "hanging" in 3rd gear, hitting the rev-limiter before shifting to 4th. I was down 3-5 mph from the other ZL1's because of the delayed shift. The tuner looked up my VIN on Chevy's database and found 3 engine software upgrades and 3 transmission software upgrades. My car was built in April of 2017.

The tuner suggested disconnecting my battery for 15 minutes on the chance my transmission had "learned" bad behavior. Sure enough, after doing that the transmission shifted fine from 3rd to 4th and I was then running competitively with the other ZL1's.

The tuner also told me it's not easy getting a dealership to download the updates as they only get paid (20 minutes maybe?) for the updates. Just not a lot of interest on their part. Based on what I've seen thus far, I'd agree with him. I plan to call around to several dealership and see if one shows interest in my list of items....

You really shouldn't be paying a dealer for the rear diff fluid change, but I guess if the car is already going to be there for an extended period of time, you may as well have it done.

You can also try and have the windshield fogging issue dealt with, but frankly, I would rather spray the windshield fluid and use the wipers than have the dealer take the glass out and risk wind noise.
