There is a big difference between the AGP Gen 5 and Gen 6 kits. They are really completely different. The gen 5 kit is a 1000+ hp kit with several different turbo models that can be fitted. The gen 6 kit only uses smaller quicker spooling Borg Warner EFR turbos and is marketed as a 800hp kit. When my car is back together we will find out what the max hp those turbos can provide on a built motor but I'm guessing 850whp.

800whp is still a pretty tall order on these 2016+ LT1 engines.

With forged rods and pistons, and port injection, these motors will pump out 1000+. i wouldn't say 800+ is a tall order. i would say it cost more to obtain than lsx. Am i missing something jessrayo? you do have a lot more first hand experience with the turbo lsx and lt1's

I believe he is saying due to the space restrictions for the Gen 6 low mount system, you can go only go so big on the turbos because they physically won't fit. Unless you want to start cutting and welding things.

The key is the port injection. I bought the very first LT1 Camaro my local dealer got on their lot. When we put the turbo kit on it the only fuel upgrades available at that time were the LT4 system and it just couldn't give it enough fuel. No one was doing port injection at that time and to be honest there are not that many shops that have a lot of experience tuning with both port and direct injection. Ask the tuners how may cars they have done with this set-up. This is relatively new thinking. I'm fairly certain it will be the norm in the future but for now, the number of cars tuned to run both port and direct injection is a very small percent of the modified cars out there. And to get 800+ whp you pretty much need to add the port injection. I would not take for granted that adding port injection will be a piece of cake. I have a very good tuner and I think my car might be the first dual injection system he has set-up.

But all said and done 800+ shouldn't be a big deal once everyone cracks the formula to run dual injection systems. I'm not a tuner or mechanic, I'm a driver with just enough engineering knowledge to drive my mechanics crazy.... maybe I'm reading in too much, maybe it is really simple just to add another complete injection system and coordinate the cycling of the different injection systems at different rpms.... different fuel pressures etc...maybe.

You are correct here also, there is much less room for big turbos under the 6th gen. AGP decided turbos really couldn't be done on the LT1 corvette without excessive cutting and decided the 800hp BW's were what they were comfortable with on a gen 6 Camaro kit.
