Safest car I have ever owned

I have bad news a guy ran a red light on SH146 into my 2016 SS2, but this car is so safe (yes I am hurt but will heal) I actually walked away from it after being checked out by the ER. At least now I have a 2018 though.

Wow 😮 I am glad that your OK. Hope the other guy/girl as well? The metal can be repaired or in your case a new new one.

What intersection was this at? I have seen some close calls at SH146 at both the north and south loop 197 intersections.

My brother rolled a subaru down a hill and walked away. I had a WRX and the "star-ring" support structures can even be difficult for the jaws of life to cut through (so it's subjective), but I've seen then t-boned and hit and the other cars fair far worse in the crash. A car came careening (spinning) across the intersection earlier this year and I was able to "punch it" in the snow and get out of the way with my BMW, doing the same would have just spun the wheels in a RWD car. Just due to the visibility, I wouldn't rate the camaro as the safest car I've owned. Fairly crash worthy, but there are some big negatives too. Glad you are ok.

Goes without saying, we are all glad you are OK or at least able to walk out of the ER. May I ask what the other person was driving that hit your car?

A few years ago, they did a head-on crash of an old Bel-Air and a new Malibu...the new one annihilated the old one.
