Chrome pieces under the running lights - loose ! ?

I purchased a 2016 SS and just realized that the fake chrome pieces that are under the front running lights are loose ...... not falling off, just loose.

I looked over the car thoroughly when I purchased it (no wrecks or damage), but never thought to check those things. Just stumbled across it when I was detailing.

I stopped by a dealer to see if that was normal, not thinking that it was, and sure enough their nice and tight.

Has anyone run into this ? ....... and if so, what did you do to fix it ?

Thanks
Andrew

The piece is called a bezel. My drivers side was loose and replaced under warranty.

I think mine are both somewhat loose, always thought that's how they're supposed to be, haven't had any issues and would rather not drop the car off to the dealer to fix such a minor issue.

Dealers tend to do more harm than good when it comes to minor issues...

Nothing that that is attached to the exterior of the car should be loose, in any way, shape or form. Get some silicone adhesive (GEII), take it off , put a few dabs on the attachment points and press back on. .....Problem solved

You could also use 3M VHB thin trim tape. Peel n’ stick.

Mine are loose too. Seems normal. They are still clipped on all the way. I was concerned 2 years ago when i bought it but was told it was normal. They wont come off

Can someone please post a close up photo of the pieces you are talking about? I want to check mine, but I’m not sure of the trim you are referring to. Thank you!

Edit: I am pretty sure you guys are talking about the chrome trim beneath the horizontal running lights down in the black grill area.

Both of mine were loose the whole time I owned my 16 SS (28k miles). At 1st I thought my 1le didn't have them but they are black and on tight.

I would like to take mine off if it's possible, I have never been a big fan of chrome unless someone has the part number for the ones on the 1LE.

Mine were loose too but while blacking them out with Big Worm vinyl, I added a dab of adhesive. Stilll tight after a year so far.

You are correct Joe..... they are the horizontal chrome/plastic pieces right under the horizontal running lights on the front fascia.

And Thank you Burly ....... I think that I will give solution a try
