First start of the day when I open my drivers door to get in I hear what sounds like a fan blowing for a second or two. The fan sounds like it could be a seat cooling fan but this is a 1SS 1LE.

Any ideas?

That's crazy.
I've seen another thread a few weeks ago about the 1LE does have the fan installed under the seats, just not connected with power. It's like they put the same seats in the 1LE as the 2SS, just didn't wire up with option to use them. It would be nice to use them. Some were trying to figure out how to use them.

The 1LE Recaros are a bit different than the 2SS leather covered version of the 1SS seats.

I hear it too it's not from the seat but sounds like its from behind the dash some computer full speed fan check.

No, it's definitely in the cabin

That's most likely what it is. I know there is a module under the glovebox that has a fan.

Read thru this one a while back. Thing is if I do have fans in my seats they should not have power to them. All depends on the time and day it was built I guess!

My hearing is not good so take this for what it is worth. What I hear when I open the door is like a fuel pump priming the line sound. Someone with more knowledge about the LT1 will have to chime in to confirm.

I hear the same thing when I open my door. I also thought it was fuel pump priming or maybe the shocks initializing (have no idea how they work). But don’t see the car height change at all. (Self leveling ?) ideas anybody?

I always thought that was the MyLink system starting up, it sounds like the cooling fan from a computer.

Im almost sure it is the fuel pump, for me it only happens when the car sits overnight which would give the fuel plenty of time to return to the tank.

I do hear the fuel pump. The sound I am asking about is definitely a fan coming on then shutting off almost immediately. The infotainment system fan is the most likely suspect.
