I could't pass up the sale price + 30% holiday discount, so I ordered the ZL1 replica hood from 6LE Designs.

With a 6-8 week build /ship time and 7-10 days in the paint shop, looks like I won't have it on the car until mid-March or so...

Taking off my Oracle side markers as one of the front markers LED's is starting to go in and out on 2 spots after 6 months. Looks like i will be going with Diode Dynamics after all.... Anyone have luck getting theirs replaced? After all the crap in the forums about them i have my doubts and most likely be taking a loss on the Oracles LOL. Live and learn i say to myself as i had lost patience in the past.

They replaced one of mine that had a couple leds out. No problem, had to pay shipping.

Same, looks great! I won't get to enjoy mine for awhile though...

Also installed the sport pedal kit. Now to figure out what to do with that dead pedal...

I bought a set of Pirelli Sottozero II tires off a member here and also took advantage of the phastec deal, a set of the mmr 1le wheels in gray with lugnuts for $1300 shipped for delivered for free. That was a bargain I couldn’t pass up. I can’t wait for spring, the wheels are going to look epic! I’m super excited, next is what tires...

Hey guys!

Sorry, didn't see this until just now. With this being a 1LE (or any coupe really), the strut tower brace is really not needed (and in fact didn't come with this car). I wound up getting it VERY cheap and sometimes it gets in the way. I pulled the intake on this car to take a look at the valves and just didn't put it back on yet.

With the catch can being on from the first 5 miles of the car, they are surprisingly clean! My C7 was pretty dirty after I bought it with 14k on it and it never had a can. Easy catch can removal comes in handy for times like this where I am taking it to the dealer for the ECM flash from the GM CAI. Right now the can, brace, and CAI are all back in.

Realistically, that brace does nothing for a coupe car, but I put it on there/take it off from time to time because I am nuts. HOPE THAT HELPS!

THANKS

-C (devnull)

SIDE NOTE: Once I am ready to dust the factory warrantee (soon), this will go with a MSD atomic manifold, so you are dead on driven2exceSS

I never clearly answered your question... No, you do not need to touch the brace at all for the CAI. It was coincidental on that pic (sorry for the confusion!)

You guys have EAGLE EYES!

devnull.

As far as the tread topic... I looked at her sitting between the two post when I was grabbing a snow shovel out of the garage.
