Grandpa Struck Gold For X-Mas (Guitarist Look)
looks like husband/dad/grandpa was good this year. my wife and kido's surprised me with this christmas day. i have a few fenders and have always wanted a Les Paul..and now 2017 was the year.
will enjoy this for decades before handing it down to my grandson.

Nice.
Last year I traded an '81 Strat for a Les Paul Traditional. I love the Paul almost as much as my '68 Strat.

Nice ! I just sold my LP due to an bicep tear injury that caused nerve damage after the surgery...I miss playing that guitar.
Anyway congrats on the new guitar !

I made a few custom guitars over half my life ago , but was never as good at playing them as making them & damaged a finger years ago.
Knew a few people as a kid that let me play a lp that looked just like yours. As much as I like custom stuff, you can't argue playing an original les paul classic. If someone got me one, I'd have to get back to playing. Now, being this is a car forum & on the subject of cars, I saw an episode of counting cars where the shop put a les Paul Fingerboard styled stripe across the top of the band's guitarist's black mustang. I didn't think it was truly guitar like & should have been 2 stripes, BUT, never saw anything like that before & one day would like to do something similar that looks like a real guitar person did it. |

Just in case any of you guitar guys go to Memphis TN to see the Gibson factory,
Make a appointment 2 days in advance or 1week even to tour it. I was there to see Elvis , and went to the factory only to find out appointments are needed because they sell out fast. I suppose a limited number of people on each tour. Nice selection of guitars in there store. |
