As far as the fuse debate, my car sounded 100% the same with the fuse installed or pulled. No difference in any driving scenario. I firmly believe people are hearing a “placebo” effect if they think pulling the fuse makes any difference while in track mode. City, freeway, cruise, WOT.....whatever, sounded indetical on my car.

There is a noticeable difference with the pause pull vs track IMO. But, the difference is only when cruising or coasting on decel. The factory system closes up on the highway, that is the only way the car passes federal noise drive-by spl. I made a wireless circuit to enable/disable NPP fuse from Homelink, and you can tell it when you change it while driving.

Sound clip?
[QUOTE=JayhawkSS1LE;10019998]I kept the stock NPP and put in the Borla 60606 mid pipe (<$600) that removed the secondary cats. Primary cats are still in place. Tone changed, a little deeper. More crackles and pops. What I notice most is under WOT. It is the sound I was looking for. I had thoughts of spending money on an axle back before and glad I didn't.[/QUOTE
Jayhawk - I've ben thinking about the same setup but wanted to hear how it sounds. Can you a sound clip? Thanks!

NPP here along with gutting both secondary and primary cats along with the vortech it's plenty loud at full throttle. I have been asked several times what brand exhaust I have. I just couldn't see spending the $$ after getting the NPP

Sport will close when you are at constant steady state throttle and not accelerating.I will hear it open back up when I get to a stop light when in sport. Track does not close. Ever..... at least it doesn't in my M6.

JBones, and guys I did delete my npp muffler and had a y pip installed right after the pinch section on the pipe and kept factory tips. The turnout was a lot more volume but only accelerating and at wide open, but when its in touring or even cruising in any mode its no drone or noticeable exhaust noise only when i am accelerating or revving. To put it, in tour mode if you are at a light and rev it, it sounds weak and quite but in track or sport it is loud, way louder than the npp. It is just slightly louder in touring than the factory. I will have to post a video when I get a chance from the rain. ill post a video of the setup and the sound. It was odd still having a camery or honda comparable stealth mode and still having a way louder than npp loud without mufflers. Only thing is I have the factory raddles from the tips which I will get around to doing a fix for it. all of this was 225 at my exhaust shop.

Here's my setup with catless Kooks long tubes and MBRP catback exhaust. Every once in a while it can get annoying on a cold start if I'm really tired in the morning and don't want to hear loud noises but other than that, it was worth every penny to make this thing sound like a race car.
