TSP headers review

The after fit is perfect..

This is 1st set I have put on a 6 gen so I can't compare install to others but they are a bitch on the passenger side. There are no direction anywhere so it took a while for me to fit then remove items. If I had directions I could of done it in less time.. so here what's needed.

1. REMOVE Neg battery cable
2. REMOVE Air intake
3. REMOVE COOLANT TANK
4. REMOVE DIPSTICK TUBE BOLT
4. REMOVE STOCK EXHAUST comes out through top
5. REMOVE PASS SIDE VALVE COVER (BLK COVER, COILS, VALVE COVER PCV HOSES)
6. REMOVE BLK COVER ONLY DRIVERS SIDE AND DISCONNECT UPPER BOLT CLOSER TO DRIVER ON STEERING SHAFT MOVE OUT OF THE WAY
7. I REMOVED STARTER SHIELD COVER THE BOLT HEAD TOUCHES BUNGS WHILE SLIDING HEADERS IN.
8. PASSENGER HEADERS GO IN THROUGH THE TOP
DRIVERS SIDE THROUGH BOTTOM
9. TEST FIT CONNECTION PIPES AND CUT
10. TIGHTEN UP CONNECTIONS AND REVERSE PROCEDURE DON'T FORGET DIPSTICK TUBE.

The quality and fit are excellent the install is a pain compared to LS3 stuff..

If I didnt have a lift I would go with the Hookers Blackheart since they are 2 piece.. I really can't see how 2 inch primaries would install they would fit but man its tight. I'm sure the shops loosen motor mounts or something.

For 599.00 they are the deal!

Positives

Metal is top notch
The flanges are straight and thick
They clear everything doesn't look to be close to anything that would melt..

Downsides

2 stock boots on drivers side touch primary barely might need shorter boot plug wires.. wires are okay but boot touches between metal end of boot..

Its been 2 years now spark plug wires still hanging in even at 1000 rwhp!

No 1 7/8.. I doubt you could install them w out any trickery like raising motor or removing heads or something crazy.... they would fit but install is a different story.

Unless you go past the 800 mark according to several shops 1 7/8 are A okay!

A buddy of mine did 2 inchers on his 16 SS with E-Force blower. The install seemed as straight forward as this one. I'm not sure the clearance differences between the 6th Gen SS and 6th Gen ZL1 tho.

Thanks for taking the time to type this!
If you don't mind, do a follow up after driving them for ~1500 miles.

Straight forward w 2.0 inch would be raising motor to gain clearance not many can do in driveway easily or removing a cylinder head

I did “2” kook header on my car, no need to lift the engine nor remove valve cover, at least with kooks. I did have to remove steering column and starter. Seems every headers need different ways to install them.

Great right up!

Yeah, there is also the radii...I would imagine the bends are at least slightly different than in the 1 7/8", so the install and fit tolerances may be different.

Post after your install!

2 inch looks wont have any issues, just remove steering shaft and starter and all is well, took me a good 4-5 hours for the install in driveway on jackstands. If you need any help PM me
