Don't get them fired. I have seen people fired from taking unauthorized photos during C5, C6, and C7 development as well as two Silverado / Sierra program developments. It's so not worth it. It is a ZERO TOLERANCE environment when it comes to protecting company assets and intellectual property.

Maybe we find someone who picks up the 2019 frontend from a junkyard again. But reveal should be at NAIAS or NY Auto Show, so it's just months or weeks

Shhhh! I want the dirt on the 2019.

Had read the FCA was going to use the Alfa Romeo Giulia platform across several lines.

A source familiar with the automaker's plans said Dodge would use a lower-cost version of the platform as a basis for the next Charger performance sedan, Challenger sports car, Journey midsize SUV and Durango large SUV. It could also underpin a new Dodge midsize car based on the Giulia as well as the next Chrysler 300C.

I don't consider a few pounds more than the SS to be very heavy.

+1

I don't know why some Camaro owners latch onto the lightness compared to Mustang. It really is about 50lb difference. That is less than 2% difference.

Don't know what you have been reading but it's a hell of a lot more than 50lbs.

2016 Mustang GT: 3,825 lb
2016 Camaro SS: 3,672 lb

Car & Driver just scaled the 18 GT PP M6 at 3,878 lbs. They scaled the 2016 2SS M6 at 3,718 lbs. That supports the MT numbers of 160 lbs difference. +5 HP and -35 lb-ft is going to work hard to make that up.

According to the curb weight stats on the manufacturer websites, 1SS manual Camaro comes in at 3685 lbs. Ford claims the Mustang is at 3705 for base GT manual coupe.

Yep, that's a non-PP car. So no Brembos, crappy A/S tires, 18" wheels, no suspension upgrades, all the stuff makes it handle better than a Camry can.

I will try lol no at times they can get the first peek at these vehicles and are allowed to take pictures. they have some really nice unreleased concepts as well. by 2022-23 they are shooting to have a majority of the cars to be autonomous so I could image the 7th gen having some serious advanced features.

I've been seeing this also, but haven't seen any real confirmation on anything. If they can shed the weight on the next gen Charger, and keep it looking good, it will be a real winner. With the Chevy SS sedan gone....what competition does it really have in its price range?

Well...that's right...there is the new Kia Stinger.
