Torque value for caliper bolts 2017 ZL1?

Does anyone know how much to torque the caliper mounting bolts and the caliper cross bolt on the 2017 ZL1? I got some of the Power Stop Z-26 brake pads and I am not sure if I have to turn the rotors or not (1,100 easy miles so far). If I decide to turn the rotors I can't seem to find the the torque specifications to remount the calipers.

leave the rotors alone unless you are replacing them. Rotors on these cars are throw away and no one machines rotors any more (or rarely). That is an old school technique. The center link bolt to the brake pads isn’t a big deal and I personally just tighten it firm. You can feel it when you remove it...likely less than 20ft/lbs. Brembos only require removing the pressed pins and center bolt...leave the calipers in place. Use a small punch and tap out the pins.

+1

But torqued the center bolt to 24 ft lbs, it's not overly tight. The more important part is to make sure you bed the pads.

Once you get them on do a braking test with a friend that has OEM pads to see which stop shorter I know myself and many others would really like to know.. I want to see if distance is compromised.. they advertise 20% over OEM but, that's not a OEM brembo from a Zl1.. they just use that as a marketing ploy because they did stop 20% better than a OEM from another car maker Its a real generic statement and its true so it can be labeled on the box. It doesn't say this pad brakes 20% shorter than a Brembo OEM ZL1 pad.

Oops, I meant 14 ft lbs, not 24 - and that was for the cross bolt

couldn't find my reading glasses this morning and didn't have enough coffee....

sorry dude

Looks like the chart travis posted is calling for 9nm up front, 10nm in rear ~7ft lbs for both

I have the powerstops. the bite is nothing like OEM, OEM stops in much shorter distance, I'll bet my HOUSE on it.

That said, works fine for the street, panic stop, just press the pedal harder!

Thanks! Very helpful. Does anyone know the difference between the Brake Caliper Bolt vs. Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt?

I did 120 an 90 on caliper bolts, 25 on center bolt through brake caliper on front.. I used torque to break and kept adjusting it till it broke loose

Did you use paint or powder coat the calipers? I'm looking to change the caliper color as well (Brembo Red). Powder coating folks want $500 to do it- that's a little steep IMHO.

Where did you get the sticker with a white "1"?
