Shame their is such a poor selection of aftermarket for the Mopars and no real gains to be had. Not like modding a Coyote or LS.
Thanks. Loving the GS so far. Kind of hating the great deals on them now... bought mine June 23rd.. decent deal but not as great as currently available. Definitely a fun car to drive.

What did yours run? I managed 12.46 in my 15 GT A6 with just SW catback on street tires. Decent compared to the average I guess. Ended up at 11.27 @ 121.5 with boltons. Was a fun car. But love my GS much more for sure.

Because its a base SS vs base GT. Pretty simple. And as they stated its the two most common of the two cars.

That’s a pretty substantial improvement on the skidpad for a non-PP Mustang compared to what came before (.87G or something like that).

They don’t state what surface the two cars were tested on for the drag test portion. If it was done on bare unprepared asphalt or concrete that would explain a good portion of the difference in times seen so far.

Both cars were non PP/1LE packages. The Mustang was a GT Premium model (401a).

The average 2014 Stock Mustang GT A6

Same shitty drivers that drove the camaro that day..

My stock 14gt A6 consistently ran a 12.8-12.9 @112-113
Btw I liked my 14gt much more than my 15gt. I mistakenly bought into the s550 hype and ended up disappointed missing my 14 Gt.

.
The 15 gt auto base had a .83 skidpad per car and driver. Same skidpad as my 17 Honda Pilot

Chevy doesnt offer a" base SS" yet although they have floated the idea of doing so. You can get a GT for 35K and change MSRP. They should have tested a PP GT as the MSRP and equipment would be similar. Edmunds test car apparently did have every other non-performance option available though.

A base SS is a SS without any additional packages (1LE for example).

While equipment wise the GTPP is closer, it's still an add-on package. It wouldn't be honest to compare a GTPP vs a base SS, no more than it would have been fair comparing a SS 1LE vs a base GT.

every honest test of the 2 cars has been with a PP car since 2015. why drag out a base car now? what about the 4 other add-on packages the car had on it? those are ok because they dont help performance only hurt?

when PP2 releases what will the PP1 be compared against to be honest?

silly to not match the cars based on equipment and price. automatic vs. manual even?
