I have zero bog. I just learned how to apply the right amount of gas, with letting out the clutch at the right time. All good. It just takes time to learn that's all.

Right. But, if you get some seat time then I have no doubt you'll get into the 11s easily as opposed to a max effort warranty-voided beaten to shit hero-run 18 GT, lol!! He won't touch you on a roll. Won't even be close. And on the track you'll completely destroy him. On top of retaining a lot more value and having every creature comfort imaginable vs them having to opt in this and that to do whatever they claim they're doing. Trust me, the GT is nowhere even close to being on the level of performance you have.

I really hope that would be true, though I think you'd be the only one in that case. Realize we are talking about the track launch bogging/face planting/etc.

Haha well I appreciate your optimism and faith in my abilities. The current fast list would make the odds seem not in my favor for the M6 11 run however - though I am very close as you said. I'll keep at it for sure - at least until we hear what, if any, formal plans GM has to address this. Keeping it stock until then.

That apparently makes you one of one people that don't, excluding those with tunes.

The one I drove did not respond as nice as my 7 yr old car did. I've spent most of my life driving manual transmission cars, so I know that some are tricky to launch correctly.

I will admit I do miss the clutch pedal, but I enjoy the speed all the same...

I bogged it at first to be sure.

I am still working on slowing applying the exact amount of gas and not spin the tires to get optimum takes off. That seems harder for me.

I have never had this amount of HP before. The GT350 bogged something terrible compared to the ZL1. Modulating it on takeoff with almost no torque, pitiful.

I think the Camaro is a huge value at $60ish.
Good points. Also $50ish ZL1 M6es with 3K miles. Only a little more than an SS with most of the overpriced add-on options. I didn't think the 500 was that far off. But I am not following the rumors.

And if I were you I would keep that bad boy Cobra if you can. I run T&Ts often but rarely see a Terminator.

^^This. How does the clutch feel as you release? I've read a couple of posts on here with guys talking about how much assist there is with the clutch pedal. Makes me wonder if there's a lack of tactile feedback that results in the propensity to dump the clutch and bog.

Driver error + tight TQ management may be compounding issues, no?

I don't want to get flamed again, but you asked. This is my opinion, only my opinion. You may have a different opinion and that is cool.

Mustang has a better brand than Camaro in terms of name and appeal. This is better marketing over decades. The Camaro has typically been the better performer, but the Mustang has sold more volume. (Someone fact check me on this.......I don't know if that includes Firebirds/Camaros.)

Like others have stated, GM needs to consider more Pontiac, Dodge, Ford type naming. Demon, Hellcat, Shelby, Cobra, Firebird, Viper, Trans Am, Firehawk are badass.
Before someone screams Troll....I'm negotiating on a ZL1.

Mustangs sell more because Ford throws them away for dirt cheap. Even the 15-17s. People were getting base GTs for around $27K. If you wanted a V8 Muscle Car and you could scrape money together then you ended up in a GT.

Hope you get that Zl1. You won't be let down. As mentioned, I came out of a '16 Z06 so. I love my Zl1. It's now in my top 5 of cars I've ever own. Of course, I'm going to be pushing close to 750, if not more, at the wheels next week when I add my meth injection, but still. It's a beast.
