If you have cleared/exposed CF - it will get sanded down by debris on the sides and rear, or scraped off (as in a splitter) up front...and you can't fix the coating. Replacement cost for those parts is astronomical compared to poly/plastic. Painted CF isn't so bad, sure...but then, why CF at all if you can't see it?

I do want those dive-planes, though...

All of your complaints about damage to the CF also apply to painted fiberglass. The only valid consideration is material cost. I imagine you could xpel the skirts too?

Got to have the side skirts and rear diffuser in carbon fiber too. I would look weird if the front splitter was in CF and all the other parts painted in carbon flash.
