17 ZL1 Auto lease transfer Q

Hello Everyone,
I might have to put my ZL1 up for lease transfer due to some business reasons. My lease is through GM financial 33 months left on the lease. Any suggestions what would be the best option available for me? lease is via GM financial and only stipulation is that it has to be transferred within state of VA where car is registered right now. Any suggestions or if anyone wants to share their experience with the GMF lease transfer experience would be greatly appreciated.

Lease Particulars
17 ZL1 Auto
Silver/black interior
3800 miles
Original term is 39 months 33 payments remaining.
10,000 miles per year.
$1216/month includes wheels & tire insurance

Happy holidays!

Best,

MAJ

Shit man, not trying to bust on ya, but I only pay $950/mo on a purchase on a '18.

Try Swapalease. I got rid of my '17 Silverado through there. Took about 3 months, but I got someone to take over the lease. I had to throw in $2k tho. But, was worth it.

Thanks for your feedback.

I usually roll everything (tax, tags dealer fess etc.) in the payment and that's why payment is a bit higher but I will be willing to make some cash offer as well.

Was your Silverado lease through GM financial? what was your experience with the lease transfer process?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Best,

Yes, it was through GM. It was pretty easy actually. Found my buyer. Called GM. They started the process with the buyer right there on the phone. Took about 2 weeks to get everything done tho. But, it got done. Then GM let me know when to release the vehicle to the buyer once it was 100% transferred. They'll tell you to not give the car to the buyer until you are told to by GM. Then they email/fax you docs and mail you docs stating the car is out of your name and all that good stuff.

But, they have to live in your State.

My original lease payment was $591. With the $2500 I threw in, it lowered it down to like $550. Of course he jumped on it. I'm the one who lost cus I put $5k down on it. I basically gave him $2500 to take over my lease. haha. So, I lost $7500 on a truck that I put 800 miles on over the summer to just tow my jet ski's. But, whatever. It was a fun summer.

Thanks for sharing.

As long as you had fun what matters really....Some time you win and lose some but memories you made with the truck are priceless

Happy holidays!
