Looks like a Colgan Bra? Does it scratch your paint? Looks really nice!

I mostly ignore the smog laws, but I do understand why they're in place.

I don't care at all about guns, so that's a non issue for me

California today has some very real issues so you might want to re-think how you feel about the second amendment. A simple youtube search has enough videos to scare us to stay out of California, plus your smog laws.

You post, from across the country. I've lived here all my life, in several different parts of the state. We're doing just fine. Traffic is my only beef with this area

I'm happy to know your doing well but if you check youtube and Los Angeles, it looks like a civil war going on. I hope I'm wrong but what I see is pretty awful in the southern part of your state. Likewise, Northern California seems like a much higher quality of life than anywhere around Los Angeles.

Hang in there

I don't have a garage (really wish I did) but the weather here is pretty tame compared to back east, driving a Camaro year round and not needing a "winter beater" vehicle is nice.

I'm a 6 hour drive from LA. NorCal is practically a different country from SoCal. I like San Diego a lot, but I wouldnt voluntarily live in LA. Now, if you go up to the actual northern part of this state (the Bay Area is actually more like the middle of the state), you get an entirely different atmosphere. I know people think CA is full of crazy liberals, but it's not. SF has some weirdos, and parts of LA do, too. Sacramento and San Diego (and the Central Valley area) tend to be more conservative. There are some real hicks there, but again, mostly normal people.

It's like how Florida has a stigma of being the weirdest state in the USA. I'm sure that's not the case at all - some bad apples color the perception for the rest of the country.

Anyway, back on topic - I'm glad that I live in an area where I can drive my performance cars year round and not subject them to snow/salt/storms/road grime. In fact, you'll see me out in my driveway in December/January/February wearing shorts and washing my car. I wouldnt have it any other way.

Love your wheels MoreSpeed. Brand? More pics?

285/35R-19's Square with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 XL's. Tirerack 19X10 Platinum Elite ADC Rims which are easy to clean and are not too fussy for winter. Good grip on the white stuff so far.

Mine got caught in the California desert during a dust storm.

Why buy a DD and not drive the SS??

Yes, this.

My 2016 SS IS my daily driver. Driving it on my 50 mile commute to work is literally the difference between being able to cope with my commute or not. I could save a bunch of money on fuel by driving some sterile, anonymous little eunuchmobile, but I work long shifts and that 50 miles sometimes equals 2 hours of driving tired. I would have literally driven into a ditch somewhere by now.

I have an awesome detailer who is amazing at un-doing some of the little things that the real world sometimes does to the car. He gets the car a couple of times a year and makes it look like new again.

Can you post a close-up of the front? Curious to see front caliper clearance with the 6-pot Brembos. ...still Camaro shopping - will be a year-rounder and debating about 1LE or not and whether the big brakes and tires are worth the trade-off of expense (replacement and winter wheel/tire package required), tire noise on the daily commute, and hydroplaning when it's raining on the daily commute.

lol...mine hasn't seen even seen wet pavement & honestly bet it is a challenge as I find it hard to keep the tires stuck on dry hot blacktop. My company truck gets 400 miles a day on avg & obviously not a dd.

Mine looked just like your before I bucket washed it today. I love the freedom of not sweating it getting dirty and driving it in the snow
