Charger oil issue of Whipple.

I am sorry to post another issue of Whipple, but would like to check other guys status.

One of my friend having Whipple S/C detached SC to install new injectors and found the charger oil leaking.

It is from a kind of filter on SC.

So I checked mine today...seems there was a leak.
The level got lower than before.

I have the brass vent also. Car is in storage, so I can't check to see if it is leaking.
That updated one looks like a pressure release. I bet it is spring loaded, pops to release case pressure when hot. Much better idea, not much room to elevate a hose or tube.

The later version gets a 2.5psi check valve, but you can also just plug the vent system, it will work just fine on the Camaro. It is threaded 1/8" BSPT but you can use a 1/8" NPT plug as well if you only tighten enough to not bind.

Can I get the check valve? Or buy it?

I just bought one about a month ago for a ZL1. What vent does it have?

A FIX

I looked at mine, YES, Oil splashed out of the breather.
Capping it WAS NOT an option. I have had problems with plugged vents in gear boxes. So after much thought (evaluated tubes. etc) I came up with this. I have not installed it yet. My only concern is the height. The assembly shown is 1.25" H.
If it doesn't fit under the cover, I can cut it down in the lathe. Some people don't have that option, sorry.
What is nice (or better) the threaded coupler has a .140" bore, and chamfered at both ends. Once installed, I'll post pics. I do believe that this will fix the oil splashing (or pumping) out the breather

To be clear, your OEM vent is installed on top.

Wow really here is a suggestion why doesn't Whipple send everyone that purchased a Supercharger a new updated valve for free
