Yea and that is suspicious as well. Surely there are guys with them by now. So why none of them are talking about their passes means that either the ones reading into this can't get one, or the guys that have one and have gone to the track aren't doing good at all. Incidentally I saw a guy on YT with an FBO 15-17 GT do a 12.4 and that was the best run he could get out of it, lol!! I'll see if I can find it.

You're the one saying that a guy who has never been to the track before and doesn't own a GT was able to get a stock GT to go 12 flat and come within a tenth of a pro driver AND was able to beat the best times that other pro drivers could do on DRs. And you don't see how that sounds.

Let me clear about this. There is nothing that the GT is doing or will do that I find or will find to be impressive. At all. Even if it does run faster than the SS, it won't impress me because it should. It has more hp and weighs less. And at best, if it is faster, it'll still be a driver's race...and the GT will come nowhere even close to the SS on a track. And it won't have the options. All while being more expensive. And all of that is IF it can beat the SS in a straight line which I say it won't. So if you're hoping for me to be impressed then you're on the wrong forum talking to the wrong guy. Feel free to hustle on over to the Mustang forums and sing your praises. They'd love to have you.

I think this dude ended up getting a 12.1 stock. But, people forget, it's HP weather so. It's prob a 12.6-7 car in peak summer. Just like it is for the rest of us.

My last dyno pull we did I yanked out a 664/683. Tuned again last night. Got 707/710. Of course, it was on a re-calibrated Dyno, but I knew my 664 run was low last time. But, it was in 85 degree/100% humidity. Last night. Boy howdy. 42 degrees. 32% humidity. I picked up huge gains last night.

It's a media blitz. Ford won't make a performance claim and is using surrogates to pump it up for them.

The car will run. It's just going to take time to see what actual owners will do. Speed shops, YouTube bloggers and factory sponsored drag racer paint a muddy pictures but provide plenty for the fanboy circle jerk.

Ford did not release the 18 GT for testing until very late. I expected to see test results back in Sept or Oct. I still think Ford is trying to build momentum for the GT and if it outperformed the SS I would have expected Ford to release it sooner. Something smells fishy to me.

We have seen this before. The 2015 GT was supposed to be the fastest Mustang ever built. It was advertised as a world-beating sports car. The GT did not perform well. It was 3-4 tenths slower than the S197. The suspension was bad. It was a wheel hopping hood shaking rattletrap.The 350 Tech pack overheated and caught fire. Meanwhile the V6 1LE embarrassed the GT the SS 1LE made 350R owners feel ripped off and the ZL1 absolutely destroyed everything else.

Now we have guys running the 18 GT in -1500 DA claiming it is a tire and tune away from beating the ZL1 and the Z06 and the Hellcat. Nevermind the fact that in similar air the SS has been running 11s for 3 years. Ford won't publicly release their times. The car was released for testing very late. Lund and LMR got good times out if it but so far not faster than an SS. So until I see this car H2H on the same day with the Camaro I am going to remain skeptical.
