Beauty Shots

I might take some grief for this, but I have Xpel, Ceramic coating, and meticulously clean my cars after. Not a bad winter car, but the rotors can stick if put away wet without braking to dry them out.

HAHA! Man you're crazy. I'm outside Boston and I've been praying that some rain comes and washes all this away so I can maybe get one more day of driving. Don't want the salt thought.

The expel is great but its the chemicals and salt on all the undercarriage components and the body panel seams...you can't get all that stuff off...

If you are going to drive it in the winter then you should coat the underside with fluid film...it isn't undercoating per se and needs to be reapplied over time, but it does a nice job of keeping the salt off the metal.

However, this is cringe-worthy...

Those photos are tough to look at. I have Suntek film and a couple layers of ceramic coating on my ZL1, however, it's been parked since a week ago Wednesday. That's when the state and local municipalities started spraying the roads with brine. My car will remain parked until we get a good rain to wash that crap off the roads.

Yes. They do great work.

ps. I understand about the salt in other comments, but I bought this to drive, and not sit in the garage for 5 or 6 months every year. That was my main complaint with the GT3. Fun car, but not fun half the time up here in the North.

I respect those of you who want to keep yours pristine. However, it is not all that important to me to keep it pristine for the next person. All of my pickups and SUV's did not fall apart in a few years of winter. This won't either.

Wish I could bring myself to do it but it took years of therapy to get past the stone chips in xpel even lol
I don't judge you just jealous I cant bring myself to do the same

Love the meanwhile in California. We must be crazy to live in the North as car enthusiasts.

[Not saying California isn't an awesome place to live... Just saying there are benefits to the snow and rain.]

My cars have been parked since early October. After seeing how filthy my truck gets, I would be sick if my nice cars had to endure the same.
