I have been waiting to buy the 1LE to see where the car is going to progress for the refresh. Been hoping they would open up the A10 option, but if they don't, ill still buy a manual.

"Please contact us again when you're ready for purchase. At this time there is no automatic transmission offered, but we have received considerable interest in offering this option in the 1LE."

The two 1LE owners I've met are split on the topic. One would have certainly opted for the A10, while the other prefers the manual. Both think it should be available, as it would make the car more versatile for some drivers and certainly for those with an injury.

I thought we confirmed in a past thread that this guy is a TROLL. Mods or admin for the ban?

1/ They should offer the ZL1 1LE in a wagon too just incase you need to bring lumber home;
2/ How about a min-van version of the ZL1 1LE so you can take your kids to baseball and ballet;
3/ A built-in hitch on a ZL1 1LE would be good too so a travel trailer could be towed.

I'm just sayin'

C'mon man keep up. That was before the savagegeese video.

If you're into being treated like shit and paying well over MSRP, go for it.

I don’t understand why so many “manual” guys are bashing the Auto’s as if only a true man would buy a manual. Then drive their auto to work M-F. And before u say my daily is a manual, mine is too.

In complete agreement with The Shooter statement

The Charger Hellcat is a weak example as few 4 door cars go manual. The A10 is a gem, perhaps of the best transmission around. It's criminal not to pair it with a 1LE.

But I have a feeling we'll see it soon.

I completely agree that the A10 trans should be an option in the ZL1 1LE or any other high performance variants for the future!

Well the A10 won't change the ride characteristics of the ZL1 1LE. And you already mentioned that it was terrible. I understand tho that you mentioned this to GM months ago...I think I remember you saying this in that thread you made. But if I were you I would steer clear away from the ZL1 1LE. And I'm tempted to advise you to stay away from the standard ZL1 as well. You had a very negative reaction to the 1LE. So that right there says it isn't the car for you. And you were concerned with the comfort, space, and being able to fit people in the car. For those reasons the ZL1 is not for you either.

If you're dead set on getting one, then get a used one and plan to use it on weekends and/or with no more than 1 other passenger. And if you want it to handle better than it already does then invest in suspension/tire upgrades. That way you can have better than stock handling, the A10, and you won't be wasting money on a brand new one that you might not get to drive as often as you want.

I doubt GM will offer the 1LE with the A10. Because then what about the SS and V6 1LEs? Would they have to throw an auto trans in those as well? It isn't a smart idea this far into the 6th Generation. If they're gonna do it then they should plan it for the next Gen. That's my take. Anyway, how is your searching coming along?

Hey. I would've bought one too if it were an auto. What I liked the most was the overall look of the car. Probably never would have touched the suspension, came with options unlike the z28. Guess I will have to get a zr1 given I just got this z and now they may come out with a 1LE auto! Figures....

Ford and DCT? I'm not sure those two words go in the same sentence...but hey, they put a high revving v8 ~10 after BMW debuted it and claim it's innovation. Anyway...

I'd have opted for A10 if it was available on the 1LE. Test drove A10 Zl1 and was very impressed.

Tell them in the Ask Al section. I want it to roll run a holes without downshifting where they know I’m about to give it to them.
