I own a gen 5 Viper GTS with the track pack. Nothing like a naturally aspirated 10 cylinder. With the limited production run (less than 1000 built per year) it is more rare than a ZL1 and will break the necks of onlookers. Also the viper is painted with tighter quality control, has premium interior and weighs 400 lbs less.

That all being said, I drive the my SS 1LE and love it just as much.

So if I understand you correctly, you own a 2016-17 Viper GTS-this is the rare blue/white Viper GTS-R with American flag on both sides of rear side panels? Well, you own one of the most expensive/rarest Vipers ever made. Congrats. We would love to add a 16-17 Viper GTS-R to our collection but they are priced around $160,000 today, we simply cannot afford it at this time.

And you own the SS 1LE .... not a Z28 ... Why did you choose the 6th Gen SS 1LE over the 14-15 Z28?

Do not own an ACR. It is a 2013, according to SRT, is one of two built as optioned.

I comsidered a Z/28, but the interior design did not truly blow me away. The Gen 6 1LE is a true drivers car. It is as capable as a Z/28 but with nicer lines and a upgraded interior.

It isn't just about horsepower, though yes the Z/28 has more power it also weighs slightly more. Though it still has a better power to weight ratio, the 6th generation car has a better chassis with a trick rear end. At the end of the day considering what you have to give up to drive a Z/28 Camaro may not be worth it for the small performance difference.

So much depends on how you plan to enjoy it. I see one ACR running hard at VIR and it iss bad fast. Some consider it to expensive or too rare to 'abuse' on a road course. Older Porsches and C6 Vette are the weapons of choice at VIR.

Same track, same driver. Looks like the extra hp of the Z didn’t help at all

Oil coolers don't help in a steady state high G turn. That said, we like oil coolers.
