after watching your video it is easy to see that these cars would be in the 10's most of the time (stock) if they were allowed to leave hard

Congratulations. Your persistence paid off nicely with cold air and great DA.

Congrats again David! I knew you'd be the one to do it! It looked like the perfect pass, you're one heck of a driver. It's amazing you were able to get it to hook in those temperatures. It actually sounded like it was spinning as it was moving, plus it was barking the tires on the first couple shifts. Incredible! Great video btw.

Very impressive. Thanks for posting.

Yes, I wonder how much better you'd do with different rubber...and wheels.

I've been trying to find the true DA that night because i always right that down for future reference, but what I've seen and been told, has been all over the place! Drag times says -514, but shows a temp of 43, which it definitely was not. Car was showing 33 when we left and like you, I'd found a report showing 32 at the time I ran and 33 at the time we left, so I'd say that's correct. Plugging in the numbers from the weather report, I got -1292 with drag times calculator. A friend of dad's was there too and said the DA was -640. I'm thinking I'll go with your number since it's pretty much down the middle. Lol

Right! Lol! I'd driven to work in 30 degree temps once before, but it was warming up the whole way there and ended up being in the 60s I think. This was the only other time I'd done it. It was the reverse this time. Started out in the 50s and surprised me with the 30s it ended it up at while racing.

Again, good job!!
Lol! I was right there with you. I knew it would happen once we got the A10s in good air on a good track.

With the stock tires, TM probably helps us most of the time. Unless you get on a super sticky track like Bowling Green has been everytime I've had the car on it. I have been afraid it would be as you say with better tires. So far I've only seen one drag tire 60' below the 1.70 I've managed with the stock tires and that was like a 1.68 or 1.69. The only ones faster than that have been from tuned cars. Hopefully I can find a way to drive around it, if it proves to be an issue for me as well, once I get some tires.

What modes were you in? Any launch details for us?
Track with suspension in Tour. All nannies off. Stall it to 1200-1500 and just learn how fast you can roll into the gas for the track conditions. Of course that's the method for stock tires. I've not tried drag radials yet.

It really was Dave! I really appreciate the compliment!! I've watched your videos and can tell you're a heck of a driver too. I just knew I'd be chasing you all year and that you'd be the first one to lay down the gauntlet with a 10. I have no doubt you'll get there when given the chance again and likely go deeper into the 10s. I'd thought about what kind of time I might've ran had I gotten the car cooled more before that pass, but after watching the video my friend took, hearing the tires chirping, any extra grunt from a cooler engine may have actually hurt me, or equaled out any gain on the big end. I couldn't hear the tires inside the car, though I did feel it moving around a hair.

I surprised myself with getting such a low 60'. I just knew I'd be struggling to get in the 1.8s and that's exactly how it started out. I adjusted my launch to compensate for lack of traction in the beginning, but luckily the track prep started bringing me back to my normal launch, and I somehow hooked it.

Did you adjust the tire pressure lol

Congrats though, thats a hell of a run. Hooking like that when it was that cold, track prep must have been on point, and good on you for adjusting to the conditions. Hell of a run. Car was flying
