Retune for air filter?

My car was tuned without an air filter on my D1X. I was told by the tuner that it will kill 80+ whp if I had the filter on so I just added a steel mesh filter to keep big things out of it. Seeing that it does get dirty I am thinking of adding a filter straight on the procharger. Would I need a new tune?

TIA.

The maf is after the blower right? Between the blower and throttle body?

It will change maf frequency range that the engine operates in, so that will change the fueling. Likely make it run richer.
