Johnson 2110r lifters are what they use in the Copo Camaros that turn 8500rpm. Probably the best drop-in option there is for a hydraulic roller cam setup on stock rocker arms. A more affordable solution is the Morel 7717. I have used those in a LS build turning 7200rpm with no issues.

True LS7 lifters were designed around a engine that had a pretty light valvetrain and very mild cam lobes. If using Titanium intake valves, beehive or conical springs, with soft cam lobes, you could likely make them work. Where guys run into issues is when they pair them with heavy dual springs, heavy valves, and aggressive lobe cam, then try to spin it to the moon.

Think of a valvetrain setup as a Orchestra.

I agree, which is another reason to have experienced shops do the work, because they have sorted out the components that work best together for each build. HPE is so secretive about its intellectual property that they won't even tell the customer the components or specs they used.
