Miles are racking up....

Okay my fellow I4 Camaro Peeps...

So I currently have 41,500 miles on my 16' 2.0L w/A8. I can honestly say it has been a really great car and a blast to drive.

Obviously, I drive it a lot, I have a 100 mile roundtrip commute every day and I know cars don't last forever.

I already serviced the differential, I'm getting a transmission fluid and filter change at the end of the month, and I change my oil every 3,500 to 4,500 miles running full synthetic.

My question is, how long will this little buggy last me? Will it take the continued abuse of the commutes and the random mountain road trips a few times a year?

I previously owned a 2011 Buick Regal Turbo and I traded it in way too soon, she had 129,000 miles on her. I just want to know I am good for at least many more years to come before I can afford another car or buy a used beater for the family vehicle. Since my wife and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary, you know what will be on the horizon.

Thanks again to all fellow 2.0L Peeps, I know this is more of a loaded question but I just want to keep this little Camaro running strong, may not get the chance to tune it but at least enjoy it as long as possible.

If you are at 41,500 already and ONLY serviced differential, trans flush/filter and oil change, then I'd say your Camaro will last a long time.

A lot of owners I'm seeing aren't even at 10,000 miles and already had numerous issues....transmissions, torque converters, engines, electrical, exhaust, the list goes on.......

You are very lucky in my opinion. Keep it till it blows.

Thank you for the insight...

Yeah, there are a few glitches here and there that are not anything of concern but I hear you on the other folks with the Camaros.

Buddy of min jus bought a 17' 1LE and it already has been in the shop for defective front struts.

Mine had the same issue with the driver front side, but nothing since that first 2 weeks I owned it.

Thanks again,

Hopefully she will last awhile...

Wow, that's a lot of miles, and a long commute every day! Glad you have been problem free so far. I have not really heard of any long term problems that pop up.

I haven't even got 10k miles on mine yet, but have had zero issues in a little over a year.

I have about 35 000 kms on mine and have only changed the oil a few times. have not had any other problems and am considering buying it at the end of my lease if it keeps running problem free.

I say you take care of it, it will take care of you.

20k problem free miles just do your regular maintenance schedule and doing a tranny flush is a good idea at 50k they say 100k but if your keeping it preventive maintenance is a smart route to take.

Rackum um I say. These cars are solid. Now I just had my powersteering gear go out, but couple days I'll be good to go. This turbo is everything and more, I just enjoy it so much.
