As my deceased uncle I was named after used to say, "What don't want to do, must be made to do". I admire you never giving up or giving in Choda. It's gonna fly!

Found no damage. Now just waiting on new gaskets to show up. Did a quick leak Down test by pouring m1 down the intake runners and let them sit for 30 min. No valves leaked. Good to go.

For people that find this in search engines, dont forget to plug these LOL

Woah just noticed Katech removed the option to machine LT1 bolt holes into LT4 heads. They only offer machining LT4 holes into LT1 heads. Interesting.

Another kick in the nuts. The last head stud snapped off in the block today. I'm really hoping I can walk it out tomorrow. I need to search around to order one stud as a replacement.

New stud is arriving in the next couple days.

I also bought a flex fuel kit. This meth issue has me a bit scared. I would have hurt the motor if I didnt have my wideband right in my face. Maybe toning it down a bit and concentrating on the reliable part is a better idea. First step is to get everything installed and working then when I ditch the lt1 intank pump and dsx for a fore system, I'll use the motion raceworks -10 flex sensor bracket and should be set for whatever fuel I want.

Nice looking bracket and idea. Do you know why they mention this is for race use only? Doesn’t make sense to me.

Holy shit. I've done some crazy shit but not that although I cam close with a red rag. Geezzzzz how shit can go sideways so fast in life. Sorry to hear this happened but you'll recover and life will be back to somewhat normal one day. You are a patient guy for sure, but I can imagine how you felt when this happened.

I literally yelled NOOOOOOO when it broke.

I got a stud from a friend and started to put the head on. Cleaned out the threads, little bit of engine oil on the threads, snugged the studs and made sure they were all installed the same depth in the block w a flat edge across the studs. 40 ft lbs, 80 ft lbs. set the torque wrench to 115 and noticed there was a hard spot in my wrench. So I set it to 100 and hit all the nuts. I’m going to buy another torque wrench and check the 100 ft lb they are set too. Then go to 115. Man 115 is a lot but that’s the spec.

Hmmm...doesn’t ARP specify the torque settings using their own thread lube? If you use plain old motor oil, the specs are not the same if memory serves.
