Gain power through efficiency improvements...not by forcing more hot air through a system that is limited by cooling and flow restrictions.
Not to hi-jack this thread but this also applies to my current situation. Looking to add the flex-fuel kit to my stock ZL1, then get a tune and I wanted to also swap out the upper pulley to compliment that E85 tune. Does this make sense? I intend to just keep it at that for now.

You can get away with a 2.3 upper and E85 which is common. I would probably install a DSX aux fuel pump though to go along with it.

The Ethanol will allow you to push the blower harder so yeah a 2.3 pulley would be fine as ZOH6 mentioned. I was specifically referencing pump gas in that post. Ethanol/Methanol fuels allow for a lot hotter air temps and not need to pull timing.

And I believe...and you would know better than me, I think using a 2.3 upper and full E85 with a DSX aux pump would be close to maxing out the stock fuel system, maybe a little more room in there for headers possibly but I don't think there's much more at full E85.

Yeah, Probably would be blending to E60 unless you run it on the lean side. AFR target plays a huge roll in how far the fuel system will go. I stay around .84 on LT4 stuff, but I know some push them leaner

.84 lambda is the money target. I found that the most power on this platform is made at that target on ethanol.

Agreed though, with those mods on a stock fuel system you'll have to start blending to E60. E50 will give you a touch more headway, but there is a lot of modification you have to do in order to optimize the fuel system on these to stay in compliance with proper fuel volume and pressure delivery.
