Parts have started showing up. I ended up going with the btr stage 1 turbo cam. I was hoping to get their v220 and use the vvt but they recommended against, that it would want to spin to 7-7500. I plan on using a mast port add on lt2 intake in the future which I don’t think will be as happy up there. I tried to be realistic, getting the car to leave the line and not as concerned with screaming top end as I can make it with boost. Plan to gap rings this weekend and get short block back together this weekend. Probably not till next weekend to get the engine back in.

Been a bit since you posted. How is the rebuild coming along?

Out of curiosity, are you using the L8T crank in the OEM block?

I didn't think anybody really cared but the engine is back together and the car is out. I did use the L8T crank in the oem block. The only clearancing i had to do was massage the oil squirters to clear the extra stroke. That wasn't too bad. I got my toohighpsi port injection on awhile back but this weekend finally added enough fuel pump to make use of it. I added an aem 400 aux pump being turned on by the motiv reflex controller. I also plan to use the built in boost controller on the controller as well. I'll add some pictures from my phone shortly.

Here’s a few recent pics. I can go into how I routed fuel lines for the pump and the port injection if anybody is interested.

Very cool! I think a good deal of us care but know that time is often in short supply due to family, work, etc so people update when they can.

Very interesting on the L8T crank and good info! Thank you for sharing. Have you been able to get to the dyno and track? Interested to see your results.

I always like the follow ups. Too many times we never hear about the outcomes!

I agree...nice to see follow ups. Although I have kind of given up on this forum since it doesn't work half the time.

Been waiting to get the fuel system fully operational before going to a dyno. I have been racing it but only on back of the track stuff that won’t hold a good 60’. The car is running better there than it did last year but fairly slow with slow 60’s. I actually launch it like I did on motor it hits decent initially then lags for boost to come up and rolls mph out the back. Not the worst setup for the conditions. I have been able to brake boost it launching in 2nd gear but it immediately spins when I let go of the brake. It’s only been on 5lbs, pump 93 and conservative timing. Plan for this upcoming weekend on backside is to run on full e and roll some boost in out the back door. Later in the year I will probably shoot for a number on the front side.

Rcoe it is a holley ultra lo intake manifold

Good stuff! Post up some updates when you do get some dyno and track time.
