This is something I have been looking at doing once I have some spare time!
My thoughts were weld closed several of the small perforated holes, along with cutting and blocking off the far left/right section of the muffler. Still retains NPP function albeit with increased sound hopefully. |

+1 avoid mods to the stock suitcase.
Another +1 for the recommendation on a secondary cat delete for low-budget sound increase w/o a muffler delete. Or drop the coin on a Borla catback or axleback. |

Secondary cat delete is known to cause low end torque loss due to false knock from resonance in the pipes. If you go this route, I would recommend adding some small resonators to tame that risk in place of the cats if you choose to do it.
