For all my fellow Californians it's important to note that the Whipple 3.0 is CARB legal, while the Maggie 2650 is not. Yes they said they've been working on it, but it's been a few years and no dice.

Port injection has TooHighPsi for the Maggie & now it looks like Katech will be used for the Whipple.

Price point of both are within $200-$300 of each other and this gap is likely to close when Magnuson raises their prices on the 14th.

Just some food for thought. Also, it was confirmed that the Whipple 3.0 will fit in the SS hood without any modification. Does this also hold true to the ZL1?

You probably won’t need to touch the hood on a ZL1 either because Whipple ships you cradle spacers which lower the engine.

Just like Josh stated above for the Whipple 3.0. I believe Josh used cradle spacers for his install, but I did not have to use spacers for mine. (SS - different hoods)
I had 10-11mm clearance from the rear of the Whipple lid to the hood and 9 mm clearance on the front.
The upcoming Maggie 3100 should be carb compliant once it is available to the consumer.

Magnuson is finally close. There might be information within the month.

@Nmolina9239 brought light to an issue with the Whipple EVAP solenoid running into the port fuel rail fitting on the drivers side of the blower.

We sourced a super low profile 180 from Fore Innovations and it clears.

Moving forward we will include one of these with the kit.

I have no information on this but I'll be surprised if the 3100 ever hits the streets. I hope I'm wrong but time will tell, as with the other 3100 that was nixed a couple years back I'd like to see some real hp data between the 2650 and 3100 if it ever hits the market. The problem with the first 3100 was it didn't make enough additional hp to make it worth the money it would cost compared to the 2650. I hope Magnuson proves me wrong about my prediction.

Wow, I'd never noticed but the 3.0 is really tall in the back at the cowl. Geez.

Laynlo, reference page 14 on this thread. My post #195 covered the measurements I took between the stock SS hood and the top of the blower. This is with the cradle spacers already installed. She’s a tight fit.

I had the tech try to install the blower without the spacers at 1st and he couldn't even slide it under the cowl. It's very tall.

My 3.0 fit under my '22 hood without spacers. I believe it all depends on the hood. My measurements are in a previous post.

Agreed, I tried too and didn’t fit without the cradle spacers.

Did you do the install yourself or your shop? Wondering if the shop notched the cowl on your car…

Josh-
The local speed shop installed mine, but I was there when we put the motor back in and mocked up the Whipple. No notching or anything. I mentioned the cradle spacers but they measured and said they thought it would fit..... long story short... I lost that bet and it fit without any modifications. I measured the clearance under the hood with a micrometer with aluminum foil and playdough (which I had to buy...haha)
The Katech adapter is arriving today, so another project for this weekend. At quick glance, I wonder if the stock Rotofab flex boot will fit as it looks smaller on one end (currently installed on the 95mmTB). Still breaking in the motor... 300 miles to go!

Ok, if they had the motor on the cradle lowered with the blower on it, I can see it fitting without the spacers. But when you have to slide the blower back on to the heads from up top it was a different story. It had nothing to do with the hood in my case, it was the blower lid bolts up against the cowl. Once the blower is in place and tightened down you get more clearance. So, since your shop had the cradle down, I can see how it worked out for you.
