17CamaroZL1 knowa what he's doing and I'm sure he'll hit 10s in good weather. I think just barely though on stock setup........some tuning will change things big time I think.

I'm really confident it'll happen, but it will take track prep, good DA, and me not screwing up. Lol
Thanks! The 11.17 is more respectable to me than my 11.13 since I did it in more than twice the DA. 1730 vs 870. More proof of how bad the deep stage hurt me. Quote:

I'm looking forward to it as well. I'll definitely be running October 22nd, weather permitting, but I'm looking more forward to getting back to Bowling Green sometime this fall. We have a private track rental at London the 22nd. I'm optimistic about running my best times yet at London, but I really doubt I'll be anywhere close to 10s. 11.40 is my best at London so far. They've just not given me the track prep that BG has yet. I have to launch softer and I still spin a little in the first 2 gears, so I guess I'm doing good to still manage 11.4s. If the grip is the same as usual, I'll be happy to run an 11.3 and tickled pink to run anything faster.

The 5th gen being stout was an understatement. The 6th gen diff can still be not as strong, but still able to handle launching the car on drag radials with close to stock power, reliably. Anybody know the limits of the new diff yet? Those guys running 9's are still on the stock diff?

Hopefully the link works. Looks like someone went a 10.9. It’s at around the 5:15 mark. Someone named Justin. |

Holy hero run...
1.69 60'! That was a pretty entertaining video altogether. Why did he keep pulling so far forward in the stage - making the first set of lights turn off? Is there a strategy there?

The idea behind deep staging, is starting the 6", or whatever it is, in front of your competition, and your reaction time will be better if both vehicles leave at the same time. To run the fastest possible time and highest mph, you're better off to shallow stage, time your start to take off sooner without breaking the final beam before the green light comes on, so you end up with a few inches rolling start before the timer actually starts.

God those Teslas are fast. Does anybody know of the ZL1 was stock? Not much info but if it was, that was a super solid run. The mph seems like it should of been slightly higher judging by the rest of the timeslip.

Pretty sure I found some info on this car. If it is indeed the same car, I'm pretty certain the driver lifted at the end of the 1/4 trying to stay 11.00 or higher. I'm pretty sure it has to be the car, since the wing was gone on both, and it sounds like both were run at Street Car Takeover Atlanta.
