GMPP 2.0T Intake

With the release of the GMPP Intake for the LTG just around the corner, who is excited about it? Who plans on getting one?

This just like the LT1 GMPP Intake and LGX 3.6 will come with a tune and all the hardware that's necessary for installation.

Just like the 3.6 and possibly the LT1 it's "NOT LEGAL TO SELL OR INSTALL ON VEHICLES REGISTERED IN CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS STATES OR CANADA" (I will still be selling to customers in CA but this will not carry a warranty and I doubt CA and Canada GM dealers will upload the tune)
GM Will not post #'s like usual because they don't want to be held accountable for difference's in power gains but just like every other intake that's other there I would expect them to be damn near the same except this one will keep your Power Train and Bumper 2 Bumper in tact if there was any issues regarding the intake.

You will need to take it to a dealership in order to have the tune uploaded, it some cases it might be cheaper for you to install it and then have them re-flash your ECM, in other cases it might be cheaper to have them do the complete install but that's up to your dealer and there pricing structure.
GM Offical Part # is 84242620
(Don't believe your dealer because GM has the part #'s for the 3.6L and the 2.0T switched)
I will be making a post on here and a post in the Sponsor Classified Ad's once they have been released.

Why is it so hard to be a performance enthusiast in Canada?

Still exciting news however!

I'm contemplating getting one, depending on the price. I'm not super keen on open top air boxes, but what I'm more interested in seeing is what GM changes in the tune. Since I have HPTuners, I'm assuming I won't have any problem downloading the "new and improved" GM tune after they have installed it. I'd like to see exactly what they are changing, so I'll probably end up buying it just because of that.

I called a few dealership service departments out of 4 only 1 knew about the intakes period. They also said to maintain the warranty it needs to be installed by a certified gm dealership not diy or a privately owned shop.

Note that the Sema AutoX car still had the 2016 PCV tube that connects to the intake that was still easy to disconnect

It appears that there is what seems like it is an oil catch reservoir right off the side of the intake tube, (similar to the white silencer/ghetto catch can in the stock air intake tube).

I like that they used a silicone intake tube.

As for who makes them, I'm guessing that they are a GM part made in some other factory that makes GM plastic parts. Just the like the z/28 5th gen intake. It's not just a CAI Inc brand for show with a GMPP sticker slapped on it.

Yeah I saw that connection. Lol I also saw that, what looks to be a catch can. Sweet!! 2 birds, one stone. Evil bee mentioned the dealership has to install them to protect warranty. Well, that's probably a no brainer for me since that pcv is such a pain in the rear.
