I'm starting to feel a little less stressed about this! Getting mine checked Friday! I sure hope it's good to go!

Im starting to think maybe even though they said I have the raised numbers they actually meant engraved and somehow that was flipped when it went between the tech and the sa and me. I will confirm when I go in for my new wheel/tire. I REALLY hope that is the case and they don't have to do it because I honestly wouldnt trust them to water my plants.

So no one has the parts for this fix, the dealership and service manager, who's very competent at the dealership I go to, says that the parts are on GM restriction and can only be ordered once the dealer sends pictures and information that they have a car that needs the fix......

Bringing my baby in Monday, but she has the raised numbers from the pictures I got :/

I queried my VIN and it was one that needed to be checked by my dealer. Had it in yesterday thinking she be down for 10 hours or so but after they took a thorough look at her...she's cleared! Hope others have the same good fortune.

VIN: 117827 Production: 10/16/15.
Edit: Did NOT need it.

Dealer already had it for some other work, so I asked them to look at this too. They called me this morning saying the other work was done, and that I could pick it after 3pm. When I asked if it needed the recall, they weren't sure but they said if it did it would have already have been done and I'd know for sure when I went to pick it up. Got a call 10 minutes after that from them saying that it did needed to be done, and they were going to do it then. It would still be available for pickup today but now between 4 and 6.

They called at 11am, so i'm a little skeptical that it will actually be done today.

Oh that stinks...yeah that is supposed to be about a 10 hour job.

So it turns out when they said they were going to "do the recall" they meant check if it needed it. In the clear, and I've got the car back!

Wow, that is great news! I was so relieved when they told me I was in the clear. Something about pulling the engine out to get to the pan didn't sit well with me at all!

Yeah I am going to get up under mine this weekend and check, before I waste my time at the dealer.
