Found my isuue, the loc adapter I was using was not putting out the sound right.trashed it and wired my RCA's directly to the outputs. It sounds as good as my 2010 if not better.

worked on my sub enclosure this weekend. finally finished with it for the most part. still need to trim around the opening to make a nice tight clean edge. Had to trim the rounded parts a little to get it to fit in and adjusted properly. i know theirs a few gaps which is fine since im gonna be trimming it probably next weekend. Was trying to go for the Tri-bar emblem look. I'm not the best sub enclosure builder by far, but I'm happy with it. The speaker is about 3/8" crooked.which sucks but I'll deal with it. Didn't notice it till i put on the screen cover insert. and seeing the P2 being off center.

Potentially dumb question but how to you wire in the LEDs to your set up? Do you just splice them in to the sub wires or have a separate battery source?

Thanks, looks way better in person. Pics make the edges looks odd and off. I have only one large gap and its around 1/4" for about 1 1/2 long. Not bad at all. Replacing the mesh as well.

I have them wired to the remote power of the kicker amp. It's not used for remote power since the amp turns on when detecting a input signal through the RCA jacks. But when the amp is on the remote jack has power. Surprised me actually that power was there.

In the 9-speaker Bose system are the 6x9's dedicated subwoofers?
And the door speakers EQ'd like mid-bass drivers?

This would make sense, but some manufacturers' systems dump sub-100 Hz signals to 6.5" door speakers.

I can't speak as to the EQ, just the hardware. There will be, most likely, cancellation content in all low frequency drivers.

I can tell you that the speakers in the doors make my pants and legs vibrate ....as well as the side mirrors. They are definitely not strictly mid-range.

The rear do not seem to be dedicated subwoofers either.

To make it sound like i had anything other than front speakers i put the fade like 75% to the rear. Sounds much fuller that way.

sounds like it employs front image enhancement (front soundstage). Typically a good thing if done right.

And I was guessing the door speakers to be mid-bass, not mid-range. A mid-bass driver will get frequencies in the 90-250 Hz range. Mid-range will top out around 2000 Hz. It would help to know the diameters of the speakers to guess how the crossovers are set up. Sounds like all the speakers are single element drivers.

There is bass management. You have to remember that the original audio content is L and R. The content from both channels must be analyzed and directed to the correct channel with the correct gain.

Rear deck speakers are full range, front door speaks are woofers, front dash speaks mid to tweets.

Let me ask this question. It sounds like most of you that are trying how to figure out how to add an external subwoofer are looking for more (louder) bass output?
