There have been those since 2012 kind sir. Also I bet you can get them under 50 too.

*I wonder if you say the same comment about 50k+ mustangs, challengers, chargers, half ton pick ups, small cross overs, mid size sedans, etc........"this just in, cars are more expensive nowadays."

Yay...another ridiculous non-educated comment on the price of the Camaro.

Come talk to us again when the 1LE is available on the 1SS for low 40s and outperforms the 50K Mustang GT350 (base).

Are we right to question if he identifies as a Camaro in a Mustang body? Isn't that very non-PC these days?

If the higher content and performance of the SS is a hard sell for you due to the cost, and you don't solely focus on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile stuff that only "1% of enthusiasts care about", you should consider a Camaro V6 and really save $$$$. The performance gap between the GT and V6 is narrower than that of the GT and SS.

If the 1LE comes with DSSV, I will be all over that (again, contingent on price). If not, I'd probably just go the with the regular shocks that will be replaced with some Koni DAs (for cone-dodging... autox). It all comes down what they announce next week if I do opt for the 1LE or just pick up an SS in a few weeks.

That there confuses me... if the damper can adjust 1000 times per second, can it not just be stiffer/softer on rebound vs compression? It's all down to software... maybe MRC isn't as responsive as I think it is.

Anyway, I get why everyone wants the 1LE to be a track exclusive... but I still think a good portion of these cars go to people just driving around or tracking them a few times per year. They still want a suspension setup more oriented towards performance, but without completely sacrificing streetability. There's no reason why GM can't offer a non MRC 1LE and an MRC option for a bit more money, with a custom tune to work with the stiffer springs and anti-roll bars of the 1LE.

I'm all for GM offering an MRC option on the 1LE, as there certainly appears to be a group of folks who want it. Still, I just don't personally see the need. My 05 GTO was lowered on coilovers and daily driven in all weather in Indiana. I never desired a softer suspension, even after seat time in a 2G CTS-V.

Another point; it's interesting to observe people project their needs onto others. We don't all need or want the same car. Some of you are talking like GM doesn't build a 1SS, or like the base exhaust doesn't sound fantastic as is. NPP and MRC arent top end performance options. Also, its a Camaro SS, not a Z/28 or a Shelby; who pays MSRP? TrueCar says a 1SS should cost $36,140, which is just $400 or so under invoice. That leaves $4000 or so for the 1LE package to end up with what is essentially a $40k car.

I agree which is why you can get either on the Z51 Stingray and most opt for mag ride. Most 1LE buyers drive it as a daily driver and track a few items= a year, the Z28 was the next level up for more serious track guys.

I don't think that 'crosstalk' need be quite as direct as that (which would be like Tokico's older Illumina line and apparently in the more recent Mustang adjustable dampers as well).

But it's at least going to exist at least briefly following direction reversals of the shock piston. Gas pressure effects (if these things are gas-pressurized) and lag time in fluid response to the changing magnetic field are probably involved.

If you want MRC, and the 1LE doesn't have it available, just get it added to your SS as an option when you buy....The one-size fits all ride quality set-up is already available, with or without MRC...

(Believe it or not, you can track any Camaro in any stock configuration)...

If you want more track goodies, just upgrade your car with aftermarket struts, sways, tires and wheels etc., from the aftermarket (or use 1LE parts)....I don't think the 1LE will be available with MRC....It could have been an option on the 5thGen but wasn't...

As much as the 1L-E is praised, it can be mostly copied or out-done....The 1LE offers a track option straight from the factory that is very nice, and probably reasonably affordable, but it's not the only way to go. You can DIY to your heart's content for street or track with whatever configuration your SS currently has.

Give the 1LE a break...lol...It's one of many SS options...take it or leave it.

If I had to guess:

285 square on the ZL1 wheels we've seen
6 piston front, 4 piston rear Brembos with bigger rotors. Maybe two piece.
Functional splitter, spoiler, rockers and diffuser.
Monotube dampers, stiffer springs, sways and bushings.
Probably keep the MM6 trans with a different rear gear
Alcantera wrapped steering wheel with a short throw shifter.
Performance data recorder.
Optional Recaros.

Do we think if this car actually does debut on the 11th, that we will get a MSRP of the package as well? Or do we think we will have to wait on that?
