The shoulders are now pretty torn up, so I need a new front set at least, as the rears are still ok. ~5000 street miles and 6.5 track days on these. Wear on center is quite good still, just barely on the wear bars.

But what do you think? Can I get 1 more track day on these before I see cords?
Hard to say for sure without knowing what was fixed on your alignment and where it landed. If you have all the stock front camber (hopefully -2.7ish) and no toe or maybe a smidgeon of toe out, you might get away with one more track day on these. I'm no expert, but it looks like those maybe blistered. If so, I'd send it it: the rubber underneath could still be good. OTOH, if that's the last of the true tread compound showing through those holes, then it's not a great idea to use them any more for track work.[/QUOTE]

Hey Matt, the alignment issue I had was toe out was .35 deg before on passenger front. Driver front was out 0.12 deg. Camber remained close to -2.1 on both side. I'm on stock 1LE suspension, no camber plates. But the discrepancy left to right leally affected cornering grip. I was getting oversteer where I wasn't expecting it.

And to answer you question, after last weekend I feel like I have +10% grip from these compared to SC3s. I know they are almost $500 more than SC3s, but after experiencing these grip in warm and dry conditions Saturday at VIR, and then in cool and damp conditions on Sunday I would choose the Yokes over the SC3s. I drove them to work today in MI in 45 degree wet weather, and they still gripped too on the street.

Last weekend they felt Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 good, before they announced the 240, but with stiffer sidewalls and not as much roll over in high G corners. I want more of what I experienced this weekend. I always felt like the SC2s were 93% of Cup 2, and the Yokes delivered that last 7%.

I'm really on edge taking these to a track day again. I must rotate left to right as the passenger looks much better, but I'm afraid they will fall apar on me after the 2nd session of the day.

To clarify, the discrepancy in toe between left and right sides is not relevant because the steering wheel (in front) or the car (rear toe) just reorient themselves to accommodate it. But the total toe matters a lot, and you had quite a bit of total toe out (nearly 1/4"). That could definitely cause oversteer issues.

Thanks for the comparison of the Yok to the GY. That's something to think about. It's interesting with the GYs that other sizes are a lot more expensive. I looked at 295/30/19 and 305/30/19 (I also have 19x10/11 wheels to use), and a set of those would be $2052! It's only our OE sizes that are cheap.

Thanks for that. I noticed I had an alignment problem when I saw uneven wear on the inside of the fronts. But you're correct, total toe was off quite a bit.

Interesting note about other sizes of SC3 being more expensive, I haven't looked yet, but I was considering going with square setup to be able to rotate.

I want to switch to a square setup as well, but I really don't want to grind into the mrc shocks for clearance on a 19x11 305 setup. Only wheel and tire sizes that we can do without modification seems to be 19x10 +20 and 275/285/295 tires. I wonder if a 19x10.5 square setup is possible without issues.

10.5 may be possible but you also have to consider desired negative camber. The strut mod provides the space for a wider wheel fit and allows greater negative camber. IMO, it's neither difficult or destructive to grind a little material away.
