That one looks more like a bar than a cage. Whose is it? Does it take you down to 8.50?

It’s a competition motorsports roll bar. It has no real bearing on our cars at an NHRA track. So if/when I touch the 8’s, I’ll need a cage.

I'm not going to do a cage, and am resigned to running a bunch of 1/8 and 1000 ft. until it's not getting any faster and then run a 1/4 or two and apologize

Yeah it’s a tough decision and I’m pretty torn about whether or not to cage the car. Wish I had a friendlier track around that just left us alone. I was lucky enough to visit a track on the east coast that didn’t care on private rentals…wish that track was closer to me lol.

We have a ‘21 mustang gt also that is taking over the long trip duties here making it a little easier to get more serious with the Camaro. My local track is more concerned with an engine diaper than the appropriate cage but Im looking at it just for the safety perspective.

Ha, too funny, I bought the wife a new ‘22 Mustang GT Premium a little while back and that’s taken over weekend cruising duty for us as well. Agreed that every step the Camaro takes to be more “serious” is another step away from being street friendly. I guess that’s just how it works.

Unless you've won the Lotto, upgrading every part from bumper to bumper except the diff and trans and running 100 octane as I do discourages anything other than short daily jaunts and trips to the strip. But that's the way I intended it, so...
