Valve Covers
hello All
I'm looking for a set of valve covers to dress the engine up a bit on my 21 ZL1 but I also want to be able to use the factory connections for the PCV system. any suggestions or any pics with them installed |

Most valve cover manufactures can utilize standard NA fittings if you get to correct size and angle etc. Keep in mind all valve covers are not built the same. I just went through this and had several issues until I found the right combination of things that correct my issues after I replaced my valve covers. Keep in mind, stock valve covers for the Camaro (ZL1 in my case) have a baffle built into the, and some aftermarket valve covers have them as well, but some do not. Attached is a cutaway of a stock ZL! valve cover that shows the built in baffle.

These are the Katech Cast Valve Covers... I think they are the best looking on the market, but they require the following...
1. Coil Relocation Kit (no brainer) 2. Re-Plumb PCV Hoses as the connector locations change. 3. Install a MM Wild CC (also a no brainer) IMO 4. Using a restriction fitting on the clean side of the CC as the Katech cover have no baffling. In short, this is not an easy transformation for some... but for me, it was 100% worth it!

Much better running the TooHighPSI version in my opinion. Sexy AF and OEM level oil baffling. I would not buy a valve cover without proper oil baffling or you end up having to significantly reduce catch can flow which is counterproductive.

These are pretty sweet - seen em for an LS build, was considering them for my SS. Pricey, but I think they really look fantastic..

The same ones that SOCAL.M6.ZLE selected, that's where I got the idea for the one I have now. You can view my entire build thread here:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=611982 But, I also added a catch can, this is where my issue showed itself. But I'm not sure the issue was only related to adding the valve covers with no baffles and adding the catch can too. I did get the issue resolved with a lot of help from vendors and members here giving advice. My selection was between the Katech's valve covers I already installed or the DSX Billet valve covers that have baffles. https://dsxtuning.com/products/dsx-b...33206558752848 Good luck !
