One of them is a tad too long, so when it's connected during assembly it gets bent just enough to be a problem. Not major but the sound is very irritating and you will notice a bit of hesitation when you get on the gas real hard.

I noticed my car had it from the day I took delivery of it with 2 miles on it. The dealer put it on the rack and first told me it was normal due to the high pressure fuel pump. A friend has a ZL1 one year older than mine and he never had that noise. Then I was told it was just a rattle, the fuel line rubbing against the frame. Then I was told it was an exhaust leak and it did sound like one.

Finally after getting all the managers involved at the dealership, the suddenly discovered the service advisory that GM had put out a year or two prior.

1st they sent the fuel line for an SS so we had another delay. Finally got the right part and problem solved. Total... 2 months and this is how they returned my car after the first 6 weeks of having it.
Wow, that picture is disgraceful. Any dealer that returns a $75K car back to a customer in that condition should never get repeat business. Haven't had to use my GM dealer yet, but the few times I've taken in my 10 year old Tundra for service I have to tell them NOT to wash it, because it's usually clean but they would still do it as part of their routine.

Is this user replaceable, i.e., you have to drain the fuel line and so forth is it an easy remove/replace because I'd spend $100 and DIY.

I'm glad the issue is solved! I would make the dealer pay for a detail for your car!

! O-H !

Yeah, I played yours and mine back to back and there is about 5 seconds that might as well be the same video.

Some conjecture, probably wrong because I haven't really looked into this:
Two PN's because one was for the Z06, and they started using it again on the Blackwing engines?

Nice. But if this has been an issue since 2017 per the tsb, they probably don't care. Now if some people dropping $150k on Escalades start complaining maybe we'll get somewhere.

I agree, they obviously don't care if you know why but it still happens 6 years later. I don't think they would care about the Escalade either, to be honest, especially if it's only a percentage of of engines and an easy cheap fix.

I have gotten a return call from GM before, after they showed off the first 5th gen concept car and I emailed them the day it was on the news. I promised to buy a new Camaro if they built it, he said the response was so strong they made a team to go through the emails and call some of the people that actually reached out to them to gauge how serious people were.

I’m glad they solved the noise, do you happen to know what the part number is for the part They actually ended up changing?

You'd think after 6 years they'd have corrected the problem with the fuel lines.

Has anyone found the remove/replace maintenance procedure, step-by-step...cause I'd do this DIY, the fuel line is affordable for me.

Add me to the list for this issue. The tech at the dealership let me listen to the fuel line with his stethascope...really loud ticking. I gave them the TSB and theyre gonna order the part. Just a waiting game now. Car was built 6/2023.
