Yep, soul is pretty loosely defined so when people say it, I just laugh because it's just regurgitated nonsense from people that haven't experienced what a top of the line EV can do. My wife had a Tesla Model X Plaid for almost a year, I loved driving it and that was a 5,500lb SUV that would run 9.8's in the 1/4. Even with my 800hp ZL1 in the garage, I never once claimed the Tesla had no soul, it was just as fun to drive as my ZL1, in its own way.

The primary reason I started this thread is that my goal is to see how close my car can get to the Demon's 1/4-mile time at sea level. My 9.61 on the 3rd hit at 7000 ft. corrects to 9.00 which suggests it's possible.

I don't think my current 17" tire can do but a 15" conversion might. And I'll need more fuel pump...maybe. It'll be fun trying.

Your Z must be an automatic.

Yes, I wanted the quicker model. Rowing gears are fun occasionally but losing races to a superior transmission is not.

9.6 @ 7000 da? I'm sure you'll be just as fast as the Demon.

That's what I'm thinking. Same power, 550# lighter, but with a traction disadvantage. Actually, the Demon's 1025 hp is almost certainly crank hp, so I've got him by 15% at 1150 hp est.

If u catch one up there or down lower u should have the upper hand but after my experience at the drag strip you’ll need drag radials and plenty of burnout to not let one out quick ya. They do hook when they’ve got big slicks!

It's like comparing a hot girl that can dance and have a good time vs. a hot girl that wants to bump uglies after 3 drinks.

That depends on the user, but typically one consumes more rubbers in the rear than the other.

Camaro humping a Demon seems appropriate

Where do you get your information from? I bet its 50/50 across the car community.

But it does take less skill to drive in a straight line.
