True,if he let it run the snow would be melted

Aa a member in the snowbelt without a visual it is hard to say how stuck it is but the fact it is in his driveway, unless it is a long country one,it probably just needs a light pull

One of our vehicles is a Toyota Seinna van and once it was also unable to get out of snow on its own, nowhere to safely hook without body damage so I used the latch for the tailgate inside ,with the tailgate open while pulling

Not sure what the camaro is like with trunk open but it is anchored good on most cars

Again this all depends on what amount of power is needed to free it

Hope you can get it fished out, OP, with out anything being damaged.

I drive my 5.0 and 3v s197 in the snow in St. Louis when I lived there. Not fun, BUT luckily it doesn't snow very much in St. Louis. I can't imagine living way up north like in NY and having my car stuck half the year inside!

If it's in your driveway can you just wait a few days for the snow to melt? Hard to know without pics.

I tied nylon strap called mule tape (2500lb cap) thru both the rear rims and used my awd buick tourx, which has an added trailer hitch, to pull/drag my 2020 lt1 a foot or so back to get it out of the mud in my back yard. Worked fine, caused no damage, but again it was a very short distance

We wish it was that easy in the snowbelt, out front this morning…sometime in May it will stop snowing.

Thanks for the insight everyone. Here are a few pictures for your entertainment. I think I might just jack the car up, put some 1” thick boards under the rear wheels and try to get it out by driving forward. The problem is that it’s sliding off of my driveway and down a little hill every time I step on the gas.

And for the crew who puts their car away for the winter: I see you and respect you. But this is a lease and I’m going to drive it. Luckily it isn’t my only car right now.

Shout out to everyone else in the snow belt!

Edit: JFC. Every time I try to post pictures from my phone on a forum they’re upside down...

That's JHFC... You left out a letter.

The wheels spin and the car follows gravity to slide down hill. If the ground will support a jack along with the weight of the car for you to lift, here's what I would try...

Get a 1/2" or maybe 3/4" piece of plywood about 1.5' square. Place it about a foot back from the front wheel on the side on the grass and slip a low profile jack in there. Raise the entire car on that side so that you can place 2x lumber under the wheels leading the car back to the pavement. If you can raise that side of the car to be at least as high as the part on the pavement, it should be more likely to roll TOWARD the driveway than away from it.

Use a jack pad on the pinch point. The coupes are rigid enough that using that jack point (the second one back from the front wheel) will allow you to raise the entire side of the car at once.

Still stuck then, wet boards are problematic if you can put some cleats on them it’s better, otherwise they just spin on wet wood, and when they do catch the will shoot out like a projectile.
I would get some sand and spread it around tires. Can you get to the front at all? Hook the front and just get it out of the tracks you are in, that may help.
Finally to get it rocking you need to turn the traction control off, and keep the wheels straight.

You might try kitty litter or speedy dry with a very light foot!

That does not look that bad.

Do the LT1 have the provision for the tow piece up front?

Well hopefully when you try to pull forward u keep your wheels straight. If your pulling forward with wheels turned like your picture then of course it’s going to slide to the side.

I did a search and saw that there is no dedicated hook in the rear of the car for this. Does anyone have a good solution of where the tow truck driver might be able to attach or wrap a strap? I don’t want anything to break and I’m not sure that I trust a regular tow driver to get this right.

Luckily, it’s just in my driveway. Tried to get it unstuck from its spot on the driveway and ended up sliding off the side.

Thanks in advance!
"Why not just leave it there until the snow melts? Or dig the snow out from around it?"

...he said from his comfortable chair in Texas.

Failing that, I would think you could hook up a strap through the rear wheels and just drag it out so you can get it on a tow truck. The suspension is stout enough to handle the car skidding on dry pavement without damage. I don't think pulling it by the wheels a few feet over ice or snow should hurt it.

Doesn’t look bad put ice melt or sand under every wheel front and back of it especially the drivers side . Wheels straight till it gets moving easy on the gas.
