My car is basically stock, just a rotofab which doesn't add much without a tune. His car is a stock Hellcat charger. He had a passenger also, I didn't. I think that car weighs about 600lbs more too.

The A8 auto mode doesn’t respond well because of the pedal response and it doesn’t do what you ask, that’s why I always put it in manual mode, I also don’t wanna deal with a clutch pedal, Incase people ask me why I didn’t get a manual haha it’s not my thing to be dealing with, especially in Florida traffic at times, to be honest, I truly think the (A10) ZL1 is the best performance car for the money right now. I have this strange feeling you not gonna "feel more in control" once you get the ZL1.
I have driven cars like the ZL1 and everything in between , faster or slower and if you can't figure out the SS you gonna struggle with more power and you will think you doing something wrong there as well when slower cars are still smoking you because you still won't have a clue. NEVER EVER have I EVER heard of anyone driving a car with the power of the Camaro SS and feel they have to have the car in manual shift to feel as though they have power. It almost seems you are pulling off a nice troll stunt because what you say makes no sense. Something is wrong alright and it ain't the car and I'm thinking it never will be the car. |

I have stated this over and over again, it’s the throttle response/delay in regular drive mode, the car doesn’t immediately pull the instant I hit the gas, in manual mode it does, The A8 in the SS doesn’t downshift quick enough to pull immediately as I randomly gun it, as in manual mode it does. The power is fine.... it’s the time it takes for the car to downshift in auto mode that makes me not feel in control. There is also a “dead zone” in the pedal when in auto mode I’ve noticed, how I’m assuming it’s either for gas, or that the car is just a torque monster and GM doesn’t want you to get hurt.
