I have no issue driving it in auto, I just never used it.

Aw c'mon man, give the kid a break. He's admitting to what he doesn't know, and is asking others for help. That's a sign of strength and intelligence in my book.

A lot of folks would just leave it at "this car sucks" and never have the courage to ask what they might doing wrong because they assume they already know everything.

I agree, the point of these forums is to help one another and learn.

That was his attitude at the start of his first thread.

But that does not appear to be the case now.

Thanks you guys, I appreciate it a lot. I’ll see if I can find something to mount my phone to the glass, or find a way to keep the phone still and mounted while recording the HUD and road so you guys can see how I’m working the car, I’ll just do some brief pulls/accelerations from very low speeds to show my progress, just some 1st-2nd gear pulls, nothing crazy at all, I promise, and hopefully no one around lol.

^This 10x. In fact this is the attitude that sneakily creeps up on one as we get older, and in fact I'm actually learning some patience, humility and perseverance from OP. Not a single "screw your shitty Camaros, I'm buying a Tesla (sniff-sniff)", just curiosity and willingness to learn.

Looking forward to it

So I’m having difficulty trying to capture the HUD and road at the same time, still haven’t recorded anything yet

Have you tried to lift the headrest a bit and attach the camera to the exposed section of the rod? The HUD is only visible from a relatively narrow horizontal angle range by design.

I’m using my iPhone to record, but wouldn’t my head be in the way? Since that’s where your head is?

I feel I have to exhibit my graphical prowess, or lack thereof, on this one. What I had in mind is a phone mount attached to the headrest rod:

Oh!!! But I don’t think the HUD will be visible from that vertical angle, plus the numbers won’t be as visible from a far

Man, you gotta improvise, it's not like there's a playbook for everything. Try strapping it on with a headband or use a head mounted case or a magnetic phone holder in the right place and position, or something else I've seen countless youtube videos that showcase the HUD display.
