Best tire size for comfort

Front rims are 20 inch with an offset of +35 and rear offset of +43. What would be the best set up for these? Was thinking going 265/40/20 for front and 295/35/20 for rear… is that good ? 20x10 front and 20x11 rear

40 ratio IMHO looks poor on the car. 285/35 and a 295/35 look OK. The only way I can infer your "comfort" is a bit more sidewall.

I'm running 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 on SS 1LE wheels (same widths as yours), and they are super comfortable, so as stated above, more sidewall definitely helps.

However, these are a bit too tall for best performance, if I were you, I'd indeed look into some 19" offerings. Forget the 40% aspect ratio, go for 35 and increase width instead on 19" rims if you want even more sidewall.

Do you run into any rubbing issues for the rear? And what kind of battery would y’all recommend?

No rubbing in the rear. although the tire is pretty close to the liner on the driver side. Note that the main body wiring harness was relocated there, you will run into rubbing issues if you don't do that.

Some replace their stock battery with much lighter Li-ion batteries, say, from Antigravity, I just used a higher spec (760 CCA vs 700 CCA on the factory battery) OEM unit from AC Delco, part number 88864541. Paid $220 for it back in 2022, now it's sold by amazon at $166... it works perfectly fine, I never had any issues starting the car or any electronic flukes. Two or three cranks and the beast comes to life.

It's depend on tire's model or whether run-flat. I test drove the LT1 245 all-season installed all four corners before buying my current 2SS (245 275 Eagle F1 asymmetric 3). The LT1 245 all-season tire was smoother than the SS's summer tire. It has improved a bit by lowering the air to 29psi, but it is still hard and uncomfortable in bumpy road. When my tires wear out, the next tires will be Michelin PS4S.

The Goodyear exhelerate tires are much quieter than the summer tires my SS came with. They definitely do not have as much dry traction, or tight steering response though.

The real difference is runflat vs non-runflat (not so much summer vs all-season), unfortunately runflats must have sidewalls that feel almost like concrete to be able to support the weight with no pressure, which makes them noisy and uncomfortable.

The PS4S, that is, its non-runflat version has a softer than average sidewall, which is why some don't consider it the best as its steering response is a bit compromised due to increased sidewall flexing. That said, we are splitting hairs here, they're more than good enough for me
