Curious... New ZL1 Orders

For those of you who have ordered your new zl1s instead of buying off the lot im seeking some input

For those (like me) who check the status of your order # weekly or so im curious how long y'all have waited for the status to go from "1100" to shipped? I know depending in the dealership it could stay 1100 forever but for those who received theres how possibly fast can it go from 1100 to shipped status? Again looking for input on how fast it could possibly go. I ask this because my dealer guranteed me delivery in September from when i placed the order july 3rd. Status is still 1100 and want to know if september is still realistic to expect the car.

Thanks in advance!

It can go as fast as 3-5 days. On my C7, I transacted the buyers order on a Friday and had 2000 status by the next wed. If they have an allocation, it's quick.

Then again, it Could be never....

From 2000 status how long did or how fast did it take for you to get 4200 status?

The dreaded dealer allocation plays the primary role in this. It can be damn near impossible to find out but you need to know with 100% certainty that the dealer has an allocation otherwise it will stay at 1100 and never go through.

I was mislead on this from the very beginning and it wasn't until I emailed the owner and general manager that I found out that they didn't have an allocation. They were able to twist an arm and get one and I went 2000 on the very last day of the last order cycle for the '17 model year. Very stressful. Months of twisting in the wind with the threat of a non refundable $1000 deposit. I know I have more gray hair as a result.

I can't remember how often but I want to say there is what? One order cycle per month? Also orders get placed Tuesday-Thursday. Something like that. Becky knows all this.

I work for a Chevy dealer and we have been getting zl1s as long as the customer puts it in as a sold order. Has been taking about 4-6 weeks from placing the order to delivery

How does one handle trade in values during the time the order is placed and car is picked up? I'm worried if I place an order, they'll screw me on the trade in values once the car arrives. They wont care if I walk because they earned another zl1 allocation... right?

From what i got from a previous dealer.. You can back out the day it arrives and get your deposit back because they know the car will sell regardless if you change your mind
