I ordered my car on October 22nd and my dealer said that's it's moving quickly and that its in "the first group". What exactly does that mean and does anyone have an idea of when I can expect my car. I was thinking the first or second week of December, what do y'all think?

I'm guessing the first group of cars getting shipped... I'm pretty sure someone else here will give you a better explanation.

He is just feeding you a line.
There are cars delivered and on dealer lots, the 'first group' has gone out.

It might be the first they are getting?

Just call em tomorrow and ask for your order number and also a copy of your order sheet... Once you get it PLEASE make sure that everything is correct on it.. Like all the options you wanted and so on... Because I had to re order mine after i had got a vin already... I decided to check to make sure that everything was correct ... And turns out that none of the stuff I ordered was there! It wasn't even automatic!

I think I'm good on the order I've had a sheet with all the options I picked since the day I ordered, they made me signature next to each option. And yeah I was thinking that to about him just feeding me lines to sound good, I don't know how my car would be in the first group with (12 other cars) he said. If mine was in a first group, wouldn't it be in route like the rest of the ones that were actually first to be produced? Plus this salesman baited me in, he told me he would give me dealer invoice price then has since then changed his tune saying that he'll get me the best deal possible and "whatever rebates are available upon delivery". I mean common I'm not dumb I know their won't be "rebates" on a car that's brand new like that. I'm afraid I'm gona have problems with getting a good price when my car arrives. The way I calculated with dealer invoice my car should be just under 36k, but online when I build it, it comes out to 39k. I messaged him about this and that's when he gave me the crap about rebates and "best deal possible". Do y'all think I can actually get dealer invoice? I'm feeling like if he doesn't at least meet me in the middle I'm gona go to a different dealer.

If you have the order sheet then you have your order number.

You can check with Becky in her status thread for your order status if you provide your order number . And, you should definitely do it for piece of mind. Make sure your order is progressing and whether or not your car is built.

Hopefully your car is built but, your dealership should be doing more for you. My salesman has kept in touch via text. Just periodic but it's good customer service. He just picked up a 2015 1LE.... Sent me a picture.

For some people, they shouldn't check their status. It does the opposite of giving peace of mind. (Or piece of mind, if you want to get all Hannibal Lecter about it )

I asked in beckys thread, hopefully she'll have some good news for me tomorrow. My biggest concern is getting dealer invoice price, I don't like being lied to ����

Hahaha. You make a good point!

I have been one who is capable of doing a weekly check. But, some seem to check daily and some seem to freak out about the lack of a change.

I feel bad for the early production guys. But, relax a little. You'll get your cars. Hopefully sooner than later!
