Damaged the lip on my 2018 1LE. Went with the ACS 1LE splitter 2.0. Don't mind the filthy car.

New style lip looks great on the older gen face!

Today was fluid change day.
  • Engine Oil
  • Transmission Fluid
  • Brake Fluid (RF 650)
and installed Rokblokz.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but has anyone with an LT1 had their rear brake valves incredibly tight? The two rears required a ton of force to loosen them compared to the fronts. Like easily 2x the force where I felt maybe I was accidentally catching my wrench on something.

Hi David, did you change the transmission fluid yourself?

Yes, I did it all myself. It was about as easy as the differential fluid change. Maybe a bit more cramped, but nothing terrible.

Nice! I've seen vids on how to change the tranny fluid, it seems a little challenging.

The 2.0 splitter is much more aggressive. It looks great.

Not at all, it took maybe 30 minutes? The "toughest" part was trying to fit a torque wrench with a deep socket to get the temp sensor port back on and tightened to spec.

Here's a great video explaining how to change it

What's the recommended mileage change for the trans?

No issues since install. Started a discussion here on the torque value for the rear endlink to sway bar nut, consensus was 32 ft lb. BMR suggested 48 ft lbs but seemed way too high. I also have the rear endlink twisted as far down as possible to get the sway bar as parallel to a level surface as possible. The BMR front end links were just too aggressive at the time for my fe2 suspension so I went with the metal fe3 front end links and have had no issues
I ordered Seals-it RODOBAL Rod End Dust Boot Sets RERS26PK for the end links and they fit perfectly. A little snug but overall great fit and installs pretty easy with the dust boot tool. $25 for a 6 pack so a little cheaper than the eBay ones and have some spares

And a side by side comparison of the RERS36PK, which I used for the toe rod ends, and the RERS26PK, used for the end links:

The manual says 45k miles but I'm prepping for a track day in Nov and wanted to have new fluid in there.
