Tried that once. I did auto transport & delivered to the dealership maybe a couple times per year & the sales mgr always signed off on my paper work. We always joked around a bit, were on first name basis etc. Anyway, told him was interested in a certain new vehicle he had in stock & lets get it done. He introduced me to a sales person. It is where I learned what handing ice to an eskimo must be like. Did not purchase there.

My point is that maybe going direct to the mgr will work at some places, but do not expect it at all of them.
